the ai is a bit more intelligent in this game than gta, the graphics are much better (especially explosions and smoke) and the on foot action is more intense and fluid to control.
i strongly believe that this deserves the five stars because as far as action, explosion effects, destruction and graphics, this game beats any grand theft auto game any day.
even during explosions in dense fog (which actually looks like fog), the game does not lag a bit.
one of the highlights of the game: the explosions are amazing!!!
+excellent explosions
from the sea surface textures to the wild and vivid in-air explosions to the shadowing, and the reflections of sun on other planes, you wont see these matched by anything but a high-end gaming pc.
water effects and explosions are very nice.
the water looks so real it's creepy, and you cringe when there's an explosion.
hearing that rapid fire machine gun on the dust devil left me wanting more just o hear its clear ratta-tat-tat, followed up by a beautiful explosion and a scream on the radio from the victim.
explosions are satisfyingly violent, with pieces scattered to the wind and hapless pilots parachuting into the sea/desert/city.
i love games with explosions, big exposions.
the 30 fps thing doesn't really get noticable unless you're in the middle of a horde of enemies and explosions, so it doesn't get that bothersome.
explosions look like real explosions, not just big balls of fire, the plasma glows, etc.
you know, the explosions were too dense or the affect of darkness appeared fairly rigidly or...well, you get the point.
the effects are also 0utstanding, the explosions and wwhen the ships lauch off, when you are on vehicle and you are kicking up dust.
this sequel not just gave you a game where you could sit back and create the explosions at any given time, but also developed a structured story with amazing cut-sequences that transformed the world
pathfinding for ai drivers is not all it could be, during episodes of high explosion the mc's detail layer can disappear, giving him this naked look....
it makes it even better to see explosions and kills in the terrific graphics that halo 2 has.
i figure it'll probably be more about explosions and massive attacks, which is fine for gameplay, but not storyline.
voice acting is average to good, sound effects are great, the explosions rock your speakers, and the music is well-heard.
play this game with dolby surround to trully hear the thunderous explosions and rocking gun sounds.
every firearm sounds like a capgun, explosions sound like the tnt is wrapped in pillows, and the tank engines barely gurgle.
the grass sways in the wind and reacts to explosions (not on the ps2, not enough processing power on the ps2 to do that) the character models are also incredibly detailed.
explosions are awesome and realistic.
the cursing is there, the explosions, the noise, the grusomeness, and everything in between, this isn't a game for the kids.
the graphics haven't changed much aside from the much better looking explosions, vehicle destruction, and smoother character models.
-explosions no longer take out groups of soilders.
i prefer the new close-quarters action, especially polis massa and mustafar, where hallways and rooms become off-the-wall explosion fests for you and your men.
i would've liked a little more new courses though.some of the battlefronts are difficult to see in like naboo, theed and mustafar.the new characters do add more interest to the.it stinks you can't
also this game really comes alive if u have surround sound with a kick ass subwoofer so u can really feel the explosions and the vibrations as u shoot your machine guns or use the granade launcher..
the explosions are the same, but the sound of the weapons have been re-worked.
also, at times you may throw a grenade and then run away but your men will lag behind before following you thus being killed by the explosion.
again, the graphics are clearly improved upon from those in the pc version-soldiers look cleaner, and even explosions detonate much more realistically.
the higher the meter is, the better the explosion!
in most game modes, you car is like a ticking time bomb, when you have been crahsed, you can activate the crashbreaker eliminators which will send everything around the explosion into the far beyond
the explosions made with this physics engine are so amazing and when you shoot explosive barrels you can see red shattered pieces fly in different directions looking like the explosion came from the
barrels float in the water like they should and explosions are suprisingly realistic.
third, when there's a lot going on, for example, several combine soldiers firing at you, explosions and a fair bit of scenery to display, the xbox slowed down to almost a halt!
explosions, bullets firing...exerything was great!
not terribly groundbreaking here, but some of the explosions and gunshot sounds were nice.playability and controls-
i have played the pal european version of this game which was released earlier.there are 2 modes this game has-the campaign mode and instant action.the campaign mode is the main mode here.it starts
but the force of the explosion forced them both off the cliff.
the audio sound effects, on the other hand, are ubiquitous and impressive--everything from the booming waves on a gloomy beach to the war-torn, subwoofer-thudding explosions of seoul to the soft
the game is fast, absorbing, and absolutely gorgeous- wildly imaginative worlds speed by with constant shading, particle and texturing effects as you fill the screen with lasers and explosions...
graphics: old, and dated, but they really milk xbox for all its got with its vast environments, plethora of enemies on-screen, many explosions, and more.
this is an extremely good ww2 game it has amazing graphics ,but it has some glitchs like floating bodies after an explosion thats why i gave graphics a three.
each gun has a different sound to it and the gunfire, explosions, and voice overs are very realistic.
