devil may cry is a very addictive series and part 4 proves that, the graphics in this game are amazing especially on a hdtv crisp ,yet smooth and beautiful. people say this game is short but its not it has 10 hours of gameplay which seems short but really isn't it'll be longer if u r new to the series,and replay is very high.this game is not a rental it needs to be own. from Amazon.com It's genuinely fun beating the hell out of your enemies, LOL. The boss battles are really over-the-top- very well done. Cons: Yes you do revisit the same areas when you go through the game with Dante, but this is typical for the DMC series, and is really not done to any greater degree than in any of the past games, at least not IMO. It could have been more challenging like part one from Amazon.com Depending on which styles you select, the game plays in an entirely different way and Dante with max Swordmaster is far away from Dante with max Royal Guard or some other skills. Puzzles and traps are solid, ranging from fun to "ok", but are never the head-banging variety that makes you want to rip out the DVD and smash it - much appreciated (think Blade of Darkness). Secret Missions are fun (but very hard) and very original subversions - for example, "Nonviolent Resistance" requires you to raise your style meter, which is raised by attacking, without doing any damage.
