Because of the massive amounts of consumer opinion, reviews and ratings that are available, often times it is extremely difficult to figure out the right product to purchase. Wize has created the WizeRank to help save time, and simplify this process so that you can make better decisions on your purchases.
WizeRank is a single score between 1 and 100 that is easy to understand, and is based upon all of the information gathered from consumers and experts. Because it is based on user and expert reviews and rankings from thousands of independent sources, WizeRank is completely impartial, and cannot be manipulated. We've done a lot of work to ensure that it's robust, comprehensive, and statistically sound.

| 90 - 100 | Users and experts agree: this is a great product. There are almost no negative reviews for this product. |
| 75 - 89 | This product is a solid performer. However, some negative reviews may exist. |
| 50 - 74 | This product has both good and bad reviews. Read several reviews for this product before you buy. |
| 0 - 49 | Most users and experts dislike this product. |
In addition to simplifying all of the opinions and reviews that are online, WizeRank includes an independent understanding of "buzz." Buzz uses a variety of inputs, including sales rank, and popularity, to help people see which products are gaining momentum. In some cases, Buzz exists even before reviews and rankings are available.
How do we calculate the WizeRank?
WizeRank's proprietary technology collects reviews and ratings for hundreds of thousands of products from tens of thousands of sources on the web. This includes huge, comprehensive sources, such as Amazon.com and Cnet, and smaller niche sites, such as Digital Camera Magazine, Popular Photography & Imaging Magazine, and Shutterbug for digital cameras (just to name a few). Our list of review sources is constantly growing as we continue to add independent sources of trusted content.
As the information is collected and normalized the WizeRank algorithm uses proven statistical methods to rate each product in our database. Read more about our ranking process in the WizeRank white paper.
Why don't all products have a WizeRank?
Wize is committed to making WizeRank the best way for people to find great products. We are constantly collecting trustworthy expert and consumer product reviews from thousands of internet sources.
When enough consumer product reviews are available, each product's WizeRank is calculated and presented. Until that time, we display all the information and reviews that are available to us without a WizeRank.
Is the top ranked product always the best for me?
Although the top ranked products are generally great, you may find a lower-ranked product that's right for you. WizeRank helps you understand how other users and experts feel about a product, but it doesn't tell you which product is right for your particular need. Reading several — or all — reviews can help you make the right purchase.
