Even after reading all the bad reviews, I still ordered this adapter. Since I have been using a Netgear wireless router for at least five years I figured how bad could it be? from Amazon.com Pros: Can't really think of any... Cons: When it worked, it worked very poorly. from Newegg.com Pros: I used to own an 802.11b router made by netgear. It worked well so I assumed this card would work well also. from Newegg.com Pros: If "cheap" is a pro...then this piece of junk has it. Cons: Totally incorrect driver/software for this device. from Newegg.com Pros: Works ok in XP 32 bit Cons: Avoid this product, save yourself some hassle and buy a linksys product. Netgear is too cheap to develop drivers for the current operating systems, so the driver will only operate in XP/ Vista 32 bit. from Newegg.com i installed this on a PC i only use for quiescent data backups, BT downloads and the like(speed is not really critical), so i guess i am happy with this thing for the price. i got it becuase i didn't want to run a cable to the router. from Amazon.com Pros: works well enough for me in a 32 bit OS Cons: Does not work in a 64bit OS. No driver exists. If you want to use this card, you're stuck using a 32bit OS. Other Thoughts: It automatically gets installed in XP, so don't bother with the driver CD. from Newegg.com Pros: None Cons: Included software is complete junk and unneeded. I don't know the extent of the damage it does because I did a clean install of XP soon after installing it. But the software is not the reason this card is junk. from Newegg.com Pros: Probably will work okay with XP. Cons: Practically worthless with Vista. No low profile PCI bracket included (MSI and D-Link include them with their cards). So if you mangle the full height bracket trying to get this thing in a low profile DELL case, don't plan on returning it when it doesn't work with Vista. from Newegg.com Pros: Hardware seems stable under windows XP network management and without the Netgear software.
