I have a 802.11n router, a Buffalo (2.4Ghz-only), and a Netgear 11n Access Point (5Ghz-only), and I bought the DWA-160 because it's dual-band, and so I could utilize the Netgear AP. Getting the DWA-160 working with both my router and my AP (not at the same time :)) was pretty straightforward, and I was able to get "300mbps" to appear in Windows (XP and 7). from Amazon.com D-Link DWA-160 works well HOWEVER there is no counterpart that can feed its capabilities. I used a D-Link 655 for years and it worked flawlessly. from Amazon.com I recently received a DWA-160 with a new desktop computer to connect it to my home wireless network on an Apple TimeCapsule (most of my home computers are Macbooks). While the adapter was easy to install and use, its behavior was unsuitable for all but interactive use of the Internet; and I cannot recommend that anyone purchase this for their home networks. from Amazon.com I bought a D Link X-treme 825 router and decided to buy the DWA 160 USB adapter to get the pair working together. This is the worst adapter I have seen. from Amazon.com I brought this (revision A) on the second of June 2009 and installed it onto a 32 bit Vista system. 100% strength (access point is about 15 metres downstairs) until I turned off my computer. This driver would not release itself and disengage causing Vista not to shut down unless I physically turned of the computer. I had to roll back the Operating System to when it was working and install again. from Amazon.com I purchased this and the DAP-1522 in order to get better wireless speeds at my home. And had no luck. A few hours of pounding on it myself, then with Dlink support, and the combination of these two products got me a best file transfer speed of a whopping 750k. from Amazon.com It is good device, i give it a 4, but i would give 0 for D-link software. If you are getting any problem using Dlink connection wizard or w/ error 'adapter not found', deinstall Dlink software and the driver, go to ralinktech.com, download the latest version of RT2870, and install it. from Amazon.com Annoying, purchased after acquiring a DLINK DIR-825 with the intention to move to a full 802.11n network. Easily installed drivers and Vista x64 worked with no crashes... from Amazon.com See my review for DWA-140. I compared DWA-160 with DWA-160, DWA-552, and WUSB300N. The result is DWA-160 > WUSB300N > DWA-140 > DWA-552. from Amazon.com Ran the product with the CD, and got excellent service wherever I went in the house with the dual-band router that I purchased.
