This unit was trouble from the git. The router required recycling the power numerous times daily due to dropped internet connection. Netgear support was unhelpful in resolving the problem and I had to return the item to Tiger Direct. I don't have any problems at all with my subsequently purchased Linksys WRT54GX4. from Tigerdirect.com "Because of several recent rebate offers I decided to try Netgear products (I had linkSys products in the past) In the end I've painfully discovered that no 2 Access Points are truely the same. However installation is not an easy matter and the written instructions are not adequate. But the outstanding free telephone help from Netgear's customer support center in Phillipines was GREAT..! It took several telephone calls, but Heidi at Netgear saved the day...! from Amazon.com I bought this product for its amazing range and 802.11G security, I was willing to give up some speed (as there are faster WAP's) for security and range. What I got when my first unit arrived was a product that upon arrival worked but I could not configure it to use any security at all either 11b or 11g via the UI they provide. from Amazon.com Netgear's WPN802 may not be necessary for everyone but it really works for me.
