Since its release, the Nintendo Wii gaming system has become an international sensation. More than 24 million Wii consoles have been sold, which means it is out selling all other game consoles on the market today, including the Xbox 360, and Wii games are being released at a greater rate than other gaming console games.
At the moment, the only drawback of the Nintendo Wii is the fairly unsophistacted graphics quality of available games. However, this problem is changing as the next
generation of games are released.
The quality rating of Wii games can be somewhat misleading if graphics are your number-one priority; some of the best-rated games have some of the lowest-quality graphics, and vice versa. Keep in mind, however, that the design, premise and interactivity of the game all play a role in a game's rating.
A new feature of Wii is its Nintendo Channel on the main menu. This channel will allow you to preview new games which have been developed and will soon be hitting the stores.Makers of Wii games include Nintendo, UbiSoft, Activision, Electronic Arts, THQ, and others. Prices of Wii games range from $20 - $50.
Wii games come in a
variety of playing themes or genres, including action, role playing, sports, racing, exercise, music, adventure and many more.
Like all video games,
Wii games have an ESRB rating system to help you determine if a game is right for you, your children, your friends or your whole family:
E = everyone
E10 = 10 years or older
T = teen
M = mature
Based on customer ratings, the current best Wii games are:
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Party 8
Madden Football
