Wize Widgets provide relevant and engaging product-related content that can enhance your website or blog and provide a seamless user experience. Advantages
Our widgets work using simple JavaScript and an iframe. This combination of technologies is utilized by many other widget providers, including Google, and has several advantages:
- The JavaScript file you include is static, extremely small, and is compressed to ensure that it loads as quickly as possible.
- The logic in the JavaScript file is isolated within an anonymous function to avoid namespace collisions with any existing JavaScript variables in your page.
- The widget itself is loaded in an iframe, separate from the rest of your page. This prevents any potential rendering delays on our side from impacting the speed at which other elements in your page load.
- Using an iframe also minimizes any style sheet naming collisions between the widget and rest of your page.
Further Speed Increases With Deferred Widget Loading
To ensure that even loading the static JavaScript file from Wize.com has the minimum possible effect on your page's load time, you may wish to follow the advice from either of these resources (mikeindustries.com, myelin.co.nz) and wrap the call to our JavaScript file in additional code that will defer its execution until your page is done loading.
