it base works well and sits relatively securely ontop of my lcd screen.
this web cam was super easy to install and use and the interface is a no brainer (even a caveman can do it).it sits on top of my lcd monitor with nothing but the camera in view and the little blue
it sits pretty stable on top of my lcd.
it's really wobbly perched on top of your lcd or laptop monitor -- or if it's on a flat surface.
smallest, functional, fit nicely on top of my lcd screen.
although the ad clearly states that it is for laptops, i mistakenly assumed that it could be clipped to the top of my dell lcd monitor.
i just wish the clip was a little more expandable so that i could clip it to my lcd monitor, but of course it was designed to clip to a laptop and does that just fine.
would be better to have a more versatile clipping machanism for both laptop and lcd monitor.
i wanted to attach this camera to the top of my 22" lcd monitor at home, however, the clamp will only open about 0.5".
you can't use it if you want to use it with your desktop lcd screen.
the only problem that i had was that the camera would cover part of my laptop lcd when it is mounted there.
will not fit thicker lcd screen laptops because of the crappy clip.
* the clip to hold it to the laptop screen is assuming that you have a thin lcd and would not hold on a thicker screen.
it can clicks on lcd monitor easily, and it requires a usb 2.0 port.
the only drawback if one could call it such is that the cam is designed to be hung on either an lcd monitor or notebook screen.
since the design problem, it can only sits on the lcd, but not on the desk.
camera is strudy and adjustable to fit most lcd/laptop screens.
i would probably use a hardware store spring clip on my thick lcd monitor and clip it to that.
only trouble i had was that i had a hard time to have it fixed on my laptop lcd.
the mount is designed so that it works both with thin laptop lcds and with thicker desktop lcds, but it's not very stable on laptops, in that it tends to fall off if i move /shake my laptop.
i also like the mount, it fits my thicker lcd desktop monitor and my laptop screen.

since i use the lifecam show for my desktop and the lcd display is too thick to use a mounting clip, the desktop stand was a must for me.
there's still nothing large enough to clip onto an lcd monitor so i needed to resort to the stand.
the icon picture might make it look large, but in reality, it's really small and compact.desktop stand:this is perfect because you do not have to clip the camera to the top of my lcd notebook.
when clipped on my laptop screen it actually hangs down over the lcd obscuring a small part of it.
users are no longer required to sit still to remain in focus.cons: the clip does not open wide enough to be mounted on an lcd monitor.
- you will not be able to use this webcam with a regular lcd since the screen edge thickness is more than 1/2 inch.
otherwise it is the perfect length if you're simpy going to clip onto your lcd.
easy to dock/clip-on to various surfaces (laptop, lcd etc)
another plus is that it can hook nicely onto notebooks' lcd screens.
i have an lcd monitor from sony and no other webcams fit on top of this monitor.
it does not fit the dell flat panel line of lcds.
