The DCS-G900 has good value but the specifications listed on this web site are incorrect. The DCS-G900 has plastic, not glass lenses. from Buy.com The install disc software did not work and may cause customers to return the product. However, if you or a friend has skills in computer networking, router programming with gateway and server information ready, plus can make sure that the use via internet browser is only possible if your ISP account is a "BRIDGED ACCOUNT", then the camera works fine. Even my experienced friends spent 3 hours to "win" WR from Buy.com I have purchased a few DCS-G900 wireless cameras, which I have used for myself as well as for some of my customers. This camera does a pretty good job in general, but is not recommended for low light applications. from Buy.com Apparently, does not work on Macs for set up. Only for viewing via browser. No excuses these days d-link! from Amazon.com cheap camera, does what is says not much more.... a good toy, I would not recommend it for any real security purposes ( it would make a ok baby monitor although it does not work well in low light ) from Amazon.com Pros: Neweggs return policy is great to be able to fall back on in these situations. This one runs much cooler, has never "locked-up" and has the option that it can be viewed with or without a password (password still required to access internal settings). from Amazon.com Pros: I own two of these cameras. However, after some bumbling about, I managed to get the DCS-G900 up and running on my eMac running MacOS 10.3.9.
