the picture quality is perfect; doesn't skip frames or lag at all at full resolution (640x480, 30fps) however, i had to give features a 4 because the camera doesn't come with many features. from Tigerdirect.com it was a breeze to set up and the picture quality is way better than i had expected. from Circuitcity.com the web copy doesn't specify, but this webcam does have a microphone. from Circuitcity.com the ''fun effects'' are really basic, but it's okay for kids, i guess. from Tigerdirect.com i use it for skype and its the best camera ive ever had cons: the little button on the top is non programable from Newegg.com other thoughts: it's not easy to firmly attach the camera to either a monitor or laptop. from Newegg.com the set up itself is extremely simple and the picture quality is, so i am told by those who can see me, outstanding, a clear picture as though it were a full size video camera instead of something from Amazon.com the built-in microphone would work better if it were a little closer but then the camera would be too close. from Amazon.com i recommend it for everyone looking for an standard camera. from Amazon.com this web cam was super easy to install and use and the interface is a no brainer (even a caveman can do it).it sits on top of my lcd monitor with nothing but the camera in view and the little blue from Amazon.com
