I have several of these cameras. I use them with POE, connected to the SecuritySpy software, which knows just what to do with them. It all Just Works. The image quality is better than what I need; the POE capability was critical for me. from Amazon.com Pros: Toshiba has improved the firmware quite a bit over the earlier generation IK-WB11A (which I have used for years.) One advantage is the ability to upload (FTP) either a time-stamped file, or you can now choose one file name and the cam will overwrite on each upload. This camera/software combination has provided great performance and reliability. from Newegg.com Pros: This camera has great resolution and works very fast over 150 feet of aerial CAT5 to a cable modem backbone as a webcam at a construction site. Has all the bells and whistles, pan, tilt, zoom, auto centering and auto patrol as long as you have IE6/7. from Newegg.com Pros: DDNS does work Cons: DDNS doesn't work with DDNS. ORG (that would be too easy), but only with changeip.com and no-ip.com. I used no-ip.com and it took quite a bit of fiddling to get it to work, the information for setting the camera and no-ip.com account up to work together is scattered all over the web and out of date in some fiddly ways. from Newegg.com Pros: PoEPTZFTP UploadPrice Cons: Everything else. Documentation is in fractured english, firmware is mediocre, many functions just plain don't work (DDNS, DHCP), and others should be useful but aren't. You'd think that a camera with presets, auto-patrol, and FTP upload would be able to upload a picture from each preset on a regular basis, but you can't. from Newegg.com Pros: relatively easy to set up, very nice for a remote sites or cabin, if you have upload speeds above 750 kps for full resolution and clarity. Email on motion detection is a feature we really like. from Newegg.com This camera Model (IK-WB15A) does not have wireless like the vendor claims. The previous model to this the (IK-WB11A) which is now no longer made, had wireless. All in all not bad cameras, I have both, the WB11a and WB15a. Hunt around with the model number for the best deals. from Amazon.com This camera has a sensor that is 1/2 the size of the previous model (IK-WB11A) and it shows: The video quality never really escapes being pixelated, even at the highest resolution settings. Toshiba's rigamarole about it being a "Super (Honeycomb) CCD" sensor can't escape the fact that sensor size and number of pixels is the bottom line and the tiny sensor in this camera is a big step backwards. from Amazon.com I have the IK-WB15A camera, hardwired with a POE network connection.
