The camera works as specified. D-Link customer service is WORTHLESS! I ordered one camera, set it up easily, enjoyed it a lot - to the point I ordered a second camera days later. from Tigerdirect.com Easy to set-up, easy to use, has what I would consider medium picture quality, and is primarily for daytime use. It has been stable and works fine over the network, though I havent been able to get remote viewing to work past a router. That is my fault though, not the camera. from Tigerdirect.com This gem of information was granted after 2 days of tech support in the off-shore offices for a total of 5 hours. These rotten folks needed me to repeat myself due to the echo in their VOIP phones. That and their thick poor working knowledge of the product or networking made these 5 hours wasted. Finally, I spoke with customer relations in Southern California who transferred me to Atrell in their Tier 3 tech support. from Thenerds.net This camera says that has motion detection capabilities but the emulator program doesn't have that option. I called D-Link support and they told me that the camera didn't have these capabilities. Then I tried by email and they promised to investigate but so far no answer. from Tigerdirect.com I have a DLink DCS5300 that has worked well - no problems, easy to install, etc. I purchased the DCS6620 as an upgrade for the Zoom capability. The DCS6620 image worked well through the security software provided by DLink, but would not work through the web browser interface - not even on my local network. The snapshot image worked fine, but the live feed did not show up at all - just a black box. from Amazon.com Pros: Great optics, streaming recording to a NAS drive Cons: "Auto Patrol" does not actually auto patrol as you would think it makes one sweep of preset locations and stops, that was news to d-link. I am in the process of reporting their practice to the better business bureau. Based on my experience, I would be reluctant to buy any expensive things from D-Link. Of the 11, half at any given time will drop off the network and/or lock up.
