I just purchased and setup 6 of these for a customer. I used 2 1TB HDD's in Raid 1 and 2x80 gig drives also in raid 1 so I had some good redundancy. from Amazon.com Camera and the web interface work well. But, I had problems with the management software. from Amazon.com I wasn't going to spend retail price on it, as I'm on a budget. I've tried many other units, as I setup a DVR on the parking lot in front of my apartment. I tried a Leadtek capture card with Linux Zoneminder, but the quality wasn't very good. For camera, I used a Q-See infared 420line outdoor b/w camera, with very bad results. from Amazon.com easy to set up. from Buy.com easy to install, pretty good color picture. from Circuitcity.com you can even access live video from your camera over the internet - also real easy to set up and access. from Amazon.com i love the features and ease of use. from Tigerdirect.com proseasy to set up, good light balance consnone so far additional thoughtsthis camera was very easy to set up. from Dell.com Camera and the web interface work well. But, I had problems with the management software. from Amazon.com I bought this camera after an incident at my house while I was at work. Luckily a neighbor witnessed the incident and helped me recover damages, but I realized that I needed something to watch over my property when I was not at home. from Amazon.com
