We have been very happy with the isight on our other MAC. When we decided to get our son a MAC we got him the MAC Pro Desktop so no built in isight. from Amazon.com You get what you pay for with this camera. There needs to be a lot of ambient light for it to pick up a good image; a Mac's built-in iSight is much better. from Amazon.com I'm pretty disappointed in this webcam. For darker rooms, you need to use iGlasses to control the gain, and then you get cold and grainy video if you are lucky. The iSight in my MacBook Pro provided perfectly good images in the same room.
