Wize Buying Guide for Cleaner
When investing in a new appliance that will stay with you and your family for several years, you want to make sure that its performance is top notch. A bad investment needs to be replaced sooner, and saving money in the short term ends up costing twice as much in the long term. For washing machines that clean well and last, here are a few things to consider.

LOAD TYPE

Front-loading and top-loading machines can be equally effective at cleaning your clothes, but there are other factors to consider here. Front-loading machines are more expensive, but they use significantly less energy, water, and detergent, which means savings in the long run. Your clothes will last longer, too, since they stay dryer for longer during the cycle. Top-loading machines are well-tested workhorses, but they waste more water and energy. If you can afford the investment up front, a front-loading machine will give you a better run for your money, but top-loading machines are more than effective, will last forever, and usually come at a bargain.

EXTRA SETTINGS

Extra settings see to it that your laundry is washed appropriately, and you won't have to monitor your machine during loads. Settings such as extra rinse, quick wash, and extra spin cycles are good to look for, but if you have to narrow it down to just a couple, extra rinse and spin cycles are generally the most valuable time savers.

DISPENSERS

Automatic dispensers release your detergent, softener, bleach and other cleaning products at the right time and in the right amount during the wash cycle, which results in cleaner clothes, fewer loads, and less meddling for you. These features also save significant amounts of time, so if your budget allows, you should definitely spring for it.
