clearly the round waffle iron by kitchen aid is easy to use, has excellent controls, and it's made to last years.
it is built like a tank, has logical controls and looks very impressive.
the controls on the front have an on/off button, timer start & reset buttons, a large timer control knob, and an lcd display which is illuminated either red or blue to indicate if the iron is ready
that is way too quiet for my ears and i wish it was able to be controlled.
the only flaw in the unit is the nob to control the time to cook the waffles.
pros: easy to clean, good construction, high quality, intuitive controls best uses: elaborate meals, large kitchens, simple meals, small kitchens
the temperature controller works well and it is easy to adjust your waffle from any level of soft and chewy to brown and crispy, or a combination of the two.
it heats up quickly and the controls are very logical.
the cooking is very even and it is really nice to have both the controls for darkness and for texture.
the iron is easy to clean and has logical controls and alerts.chef's choice m840 wafflepro - five of hearts
the temperature control has a wide range allowing many degrees of color and crispness.
my 2nd waffle) easy controls, heats up quick and makes the very huge waffles in about 1.5 minutes (depends of what darkness setting you use) love it, and plan on making waffles on a regular basis.
this is an excellent traditional waffle iron, works well, fine design and controls.
we really like the heat control options.
great little appliance , especially for two people , works fast and has good controls !
the new iron has a temperature control and a buzzer that goes off when the waffle is done.
i was a little concerned with the low quality of the temp control, but i have set it to medium heat, and don't need to readjust.
it was an affordable flip style, and had better temperature control and monitoring lights than some similar priced, like the presto.
the temperature control ensures a perfectly cooked waffle every time!
the printed lettering on the control panel started coming off the first time i used it.
the indicator lights, aural alert sound and variable temp control work great!
one thing i did not like was the slider that controls browning and crispiness was a bit flimsy.
the temperature control works best set at 7, except when i make cornbread waffles which come out best set at 5.
we had the best results with the brownness control set at 2 .
also there is not really a chance of getting batter on the controls.
the heat control is accurate and gives us a choice of light or dark waffles.
this is great because it makes six at a time, you can control the degree of crispness, but there's one thing you need to watch.
this item has not had much use to date, but the early returns show that it is indeed outstanding, good tempurature control etc, and i especially like the green light.
batter leaked out everywhere, especially in front, which ran down into the control dial.
the sloped sides help make cleaning up overfills much easier but i wish they would find a better way to prevent excess batter from oozing out over the control knob.
the controls were easy to understand and it is a good game but it wasern't as good as i expected after playing athens 2004
i was a little concerned at the lack of a temperature control (my previous waffle iron had one) but i needn't have worried.
the presto lacks a darkness control but you can compensate by adjusting the baking time.
cons: no darkness control (may be important to some users) the bottom line: simpler and potentially more sturdy than "pro" looking waffle makers, the presto flipside could be twice the value for
this waffle iron has no adjustable temperature control; mine is set too high.
