Good things about this recorder: * Reasonable sound quality in the "SP" mode, which allows for 72 hours capacity. * Small size. from Amazon.com This particular model is very small, which increases its cool factor, but it does have its share of limitations. The tiny screen packs in a lot of information--but the result is that everything is microscopic. Spring for the bigger screen, Sony. The sound quality rivals that of the Tascam DR1, which I have used, and many consider the first choice in digital audio recorders (and twice the price of the Sony unit).
