The Olympus WS-110 digital voice recorder is a treat. Easy to use and very tiny, this compact piece of technology is good for any kind of recording.
What's great about it:?size, quality, ease of use, price What's not so great:?none "I'm a pastor, and I record my sermons to post on my website. Until recently I've been hauling a notebook computer, wireless mic (transmitter and receiver), table to set everything on, power strip, etc. EVERY SUNDAY just to make that digital recording. I purchased an Olympus WS-110, and suddenly everything changed.
I bought the Olympus WS-110 mainly so I could record my college lectures. I previously own a microcassette player, but I just got fed up with the cassette tapes and its limited capacity.
The Olympus WS110 was a great buy for me. I use it for little reminders alot.
So is the USB connection to move files to the computer. The recorder is simple to operate, and the sound quality is good, with a decent microphone. I bought the plug in one that sits on the unit - sound quality was not the level of voice quality needed for my use, but it would work well for classroom/meeting recordings. The little microphone definitely picked up sounds from almost any where in the room.
I bought the Olympus WS-110 WMA Digital Voice Recorder after researching quite a few brands and models (on Amazon and elsewhere). As I've used the device for about 3 hours only (since I got it yesterday), my feedback here will probably be revised after a few days' use.
Features I really really like:1) WMAformat2) Easy to use, very easy. Some features I like:1) Decent sound on playback2) headphones input (don't have to annoy others with it)3) Mike sensitivity settings: Low, Hi, Noise Reduction4) Various playback modes: Normal, Slow, Fast5) USB direct connect rocks!!!! One of the main reasons I got this one.6) Good battery life7) Already in digital format, which is awesome and this mode is very compatible with the new MP3 players out there. I bought a Roxio Software too, where you can split longer lectures into different tracks and enhance sound etc.
I just bought the WS-110 yesterday, and I'm happy with what I see so far. The sound is good, and I love how small, thin, and light it is.
I recently bought a MacBookPro and needed a digital voice recorder that was compatible with a Mac and PC. The Olympus is easy to use and downloads on both computers.
I need a digital recorder for work, and I'm happy with my Olympus recorder, mostly because it is easy to use. The recorder works similar to a cell phone.
