I purchased this recorder as I have 2 previous panasonic versions recorders. Right off the bat you need to know its Window Vista not XP compliant.
the sound quality is very good.
if all you want is an easy to use voice recorder that's inexpensive and doesn't have to sound good for music, this is it.
summary: product sound quality is ok, it cannot record good sound in a larger room.
as for the covert placment in the pocket to record conversations the zoom setting i have not tried.
ive recorded pipe organs and weddings with the rrus360 and found great sound quality.
I AM SURE THAT THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT, HOWEVER,I TESTED THE RECORDING AND STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PLAYBACK WHAT i RECORDED. I WILL HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE HELP ME FIGURE IT OUT.
If all you want is an easy to use voice recorder that's inexpensive and doesn't have to sound good for music, this is it. I've only had this for a couple of days, so if it lasts for a year, it'll be a bargain.
No complaints at all. Origionally bought this to bring to parent teacher conferences, however, my wife used this at the toy store she manages for some EVP work due to suspicion of a new haunting by a recently deceased co worker. anyways, the thing picks up every pop, bazng, scratch, and voice. Excellent product, works great for meetings as well, the software is intuitive and flexable.
