If you like the idea of combining a more than adequate digital voice recorder with a simple digital camera, the W-10 will keep you happy. The device is ultimately about convenience, combining a straightforward digital voice recorder with simple image capture and a basic slideshow export option.
The ad. did not indicate that this products digital camera only worked with Windows and not MAC. All of our computers are MAC and so the product had to be returned.
Bought recorder to replace sony digital that was lost. The sony had six hours of talk time.
I bought this recorder to create some podcasts of my classes (high school). The idea is to have the students record certain group projects and then use the audio to create "quick and dirty" podcasts - nothing fancy. The sound quality is pretty low, even on "HQ", but, for the price, I really can't complain.
I wasn't hoping for much from the camera, and it's a good thing. Not only is the picture quality lousy, the alignment between viewfinder and lens is iffy enough that you need to leave some room around the image to make sure you get everything you want.
What a gizmo! It records, it takes pictures, it does other things!
i would like to return it, the camera does not work ...will i be reimbursed my $10 shipping ?
I used this for the first time sitting fifty feet away from the dais in a wine seminar, picked up every word loud and clear. Even picture function better than I expected.
My son asked for this for Christmas and I consented but may live to regret it as I'm sure he will end up recording something he is not supposed to hear! ;) But, it did come in very handy when my daughter had to learn a song that we could only find on the internet and we recorded it with this and all she had to do was walk around for a day with this digital recorder and play it over and over until she got it down.
I'm a remodeling contractor and use it to record conversations with customers (assuming they approve) and pictures of the potential job site. It's memory is much better then mine!
