it has no web browser, and while it "plays" dvds, they can be played only on the psp and not on your video monitor unless it is equipped with usb-2 ports.

it plays movies - but the psp uses umds so when you go out and buy a psp movie you're paying twice as much for half the episodes or features (if its a movie) that you'd get on a dvd.
