The system works great and plays the games that made Nintendo big. It does everything the description said it would do.
I bought this console mainly because I had several old Nes games and no way to play them. The top loading feature is good for the Nes games, however the games are pretty tough to insert and also extract, for the Nes as well as the Snes games. I haven't noticed a difference in the color quality for the Nes games, maybe because I don't have a Nintendo console anymore, but there is definitely a big color intensity downgrade with the Snes games.
Works very well. I haven't encountered a game that is not compatible yet. The controllers are just a little smaller than a super nintendo controller but work very well. The only small very minor complaint that I have is that the games fit VERY snugly into the slots making them a little harder to swap in a flash.
I got this for X-Mas 2008, and I just love it! It allows you to play all your favorite SNES and NES games -- and when I say all of them, I mean all of them! You can't tell if anything is emulated, if anything IS emulated.
NES portion is broken -looks like many other people are having this problem as well. the thing is that it looks like it is going to work but something funky with the hardware. SNES side works great though
I tried over and over and even looked it up online and it still didn't work. Not sure if that's the game or the system but I'm pretty sure it is the system because it's not the original. Other than that, plays all my NES & SNES games just fine. Good buy.
well the nes side of it is hard to insert or eject the games. a lot of times the games dont work quite right so you have to keep trying before it works just like the old nes. the snes works just fine. but the controllers...
I purchased this system recently and have been pleasantly surprised. plays both SNES and NES games great. controllers seem a bit light, but work well.
I love all my old NES and SNES games, and I take good care of my old boxy NES and my color-faded SNES. When I get into my nostalgic gaming moods I'm afraid playing them for hours at a time with them being over 10 years old now is going to wear them out.
I got this for my fiance, who's been wanting a chance to play his old SNES and NES games again. The system is very slick-looking, and he commented that he does like the lighter controllers.
