If you're being hurt by the recession and can't afford a PS3 or Xbox 360 this is the perfect system for you. $99 gets you everything you need to start playing, except the games, which are cheap now. You can buy all the classics: MGS3, Socom, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Colossus and all the others for $20 or less. Plus the silver color is awesome.
What's great about it:?Fun, design, lots of games to choose from What's not so great:?You need to take care of it really good... treat it like a baby :D "I got the slimline version of the PS2 not long after it came out.

What's not so great:?Wish it had a DVD slot loader design "I had a PS2 years ago when it was the fatter clunky model. Got rid of it when I got my xbox and later my Xbox 360. I also have a Wii so I figured that since the Playstation 2 went down in price it was time to expand my options and add this console to my collection...again. The PS3 is a powerful system but NOT backward compatible like the first generation of its kind was.
What's great about it:?EXTREMELY CHEAP (not in a bad way) What's not so great:?scratches easily, not very durable "I've had my ps2 for about a year now and i can't believe that you can get on for $100. I think i paid $150 for mine and it was still a great value.

"i have had my ps2 for about 6 years now and i still LOVE it,its awesome quality and cheap price,it doesnt have as good graphics as ps3 or xpox 360,but its alot cheaper,some of the classic games such as nfs hop pursuit 2 and ssx3 are really really fun and i still play them,the only thing is that they dont have allot the newer games that u get with ps3,wii, and 360,but over all this is a great system and i highly recomend it!
