After two days, red ring of death... The controller was dirty (up button not working properly), the xbox is really loud. Really really not satisfied.
Aside from the noisy fan, this worked fine. However, just days after the refurbished warranty ran out the Xbox died (red ring of death - e74 error). The warranty company was not helpful at all.
I've had mine for a little over 2 months and it's been fine. I thought I'd give it some time to red ring before reviewing, but everything's been great. Most people already know that it's hit and miss when you buy a 360 (especially a used/refurbished one) and it looks like mine is a hit. If you're concerned about the RROD either buy the extended warranty or buy new.
Great price, but unfortunately about 92 days after open it up and setting up this ''quality refurbished'' XBox 360 I had the well known red rings of death. The refurbishing company won't replace after 90 days.
When I got the xbox there were a few scratches on the sides of the case, and on the shiny part of the hard drive there was some junk on it. Cleaned it up with some windex and it looks a little better now, but I guess that's what you get for buying a refurbished item.
My husband and I have played it at least 4-5 days a week, for multiple hours at a time over the last 2 years since we've owned it. We did get the "red ring of death" after owning it for over a year. It was covered under the manufacturer's warranty, and Microsoft replaced our Xbox with a "new" unit. The faceplate was missing when they returned it, but after a few minutes on the phone with a CSR, we had it replaced as well.
When I first bought this, I thought it was the best thing ever. The x-box 360 is still the most fun console out there, and I would highly recommend it to anyone buying a console. I thought that all those people that submitted bad reviews just took bad care of their console.
20GB memory fill up quick, especially with the cost of the XBOX now, the bigger Hard Drive is worth the buy. I'm already half full with all the updates and the level downloads.
The reliability of this system is aweful. My harddrive failed after 2 months, and after 4 months the system failed altogether with what's called the RRoD(Red Ring of Death). This apparently happens to about 35%+ of all 360s. My brother in law has had 5 fail.
Wize.com wants to improve! Will you please help by taking a quick survey?
