Not to mention blue dvd's on average cost 10 dollars more. Online play for the PS3 is seriously slacking. Not many people play onlineLast but not least, majority of the PS3 exclusive titles, such as Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantast 13 are on XBOX 360. My advice buy a XBOX 360.
i bought the PS3 40 GB i live all of it but one thing, i bought a PS2 aobut 3 years ago and i have a ton of games for it and i also had a PS1 whit a lot of games for it also. any way my point is i just plew 400$ for a system that i cant enen play my othersystems games on!!!
Get the 80 GB is worth it or just wait until fall because sony just annouced they will cute the price of the 80GB in fall and discontinue the 40GB plus the 80 looks better has memory card readers, 4 usb ports and can play older ps games-
After saving 450 dollars i wanted to get an xbox or a ps3. As a young teenager its not easy.
Pros: Like the Playstation 2, the console has a great lifespan. The quality, reliability and the steady flow of great games makes this a must have.
Excellent Blu-Ray player...with automatic updates as needed. Blu-Ray discs also load faster than any stand-alon BD player I've seen. The Ps3 has a nice interface...although not as user-friendly as the XBox 360...it's usable and easy to personalize and is easy to navigate once you learn where certain options are hidden. It's basicaly a computer...which is either good or bad depending on how you look at it.
Pros: While I don't have this model (i have the original 60gb model) the console is great, no problems with hardware malfunctions, native blu-ray support for hundreds of dollars less than the lowest priced player, swapable hard drive support (i have 120gb hard drive in mine) excellent game line up (now) Cons: console runs very hot, is a bit of a dust magnet due to glossy nature of case, swapping hard drive requires back-up of data, which requires an external hard drive, most games dont utilize full 1080p, lackluster games line-up for first 10 months of console, lack of emotion chip in newer console limits re playability of ps2 titles. Other Thoughts: If you have an hd tv than the perfect companion is the PS3, i would personally recomend the 80gb, but both are good products
Installation time is about 10 minutes first you play a game. Also the harddrive is very small. I installed 3 games and i only have 22GB left in the hard drive. Also I hate to say this but it doesn't have backward compatibility.
Pros: Rock solid, way too quiet, amazing graphics, problem free, amazing games, Blu ray player, PlayStation Network is free. Works like a charm, connects to PSP.
Pros: This is a beautiful, high-end console that looks great in a home entertainment setup. The hardware in reliable with minimal issues reported since it's release.
