I love the drum, but late at night I have to stop playing due to the noise. I picked these up excited. from Amazon.com I have seen other reviews for this product which state you must take off the plastic ring to apply these pads. That is fine however it is not indicated in instructions or anywhere on the packaging. For being a licensed product with the rock band logo on it, you would think these pads would fit perfectly without any modification of your drum set, unfortunately they dont. I am planning on getting some 3rd party drum pads from another website specializing in rockbandparts. from Amazon.com Excellent seller, dates were met and the product was and is quality excelene recommend it. from Amazon.com These silencers make a varying difference in the sound made by the drum heads... I myself hit the drums very lightly compared to most of my friends, so they don't make a -lot- of difference for me, other than when accidentally striking the edges. from Amazon.com These pads are great if you have a Rock Band 1 drum kit, as they will help with rebound and quiet the clacking to more of a thudding...
