The Bottom Line: A great lightweight digital video recorder for mini-DV or DVCam tapes.
I sometimes get DVCAM tape in PAL format and it is an easy flick of the switch to capture PAL onto my computer from it.
i bought DV casset player which save me my camera lens.
A complete piece of crap!
Each of our VCRs broke within 2 years of purchase.
Ok, I read some glowing reviews about this VCR and really had little choice as most multisystems are PAL based to play NTSC, not the other way around, and need an outside converter or multisytem TV that converts to work.
These same tapes show well on the yonks old Panasonic multi-system deck that I have, so I'm currently using it for playback and the Samsung as a standalone converter.
This VCR automatically adapts videos from any format to the format that you require.
Cons: Sony support is not stellar.
The Bottom Line: Choose this if you are looking for a portable miniDV VCR that has a LCD screen, firewire, USB, and Memory Stick outputs.
