I paid $[....] for this at a Costco. I've had it for 2 weeks, it overheats everytime that I use it! I've searched every possible place for a clog to be and there isn't one. I called Hoover's hotline they said it's clogged I told them it wasn't and the lady said it was and that's all there was to it. from Amazon.com I used it the first time and I wasn't impressed but content (for the reason outlined below). Then, my wife tried to use it and the rotating brush wouldn't turn on. We repeated tried to turn on the rotating brush using the switch on the handle to no avail. Then I banged the head then pressed the switch and it turned on. from Amazon.com My previous vacuum was one of the upright yellow Dyson vacuums, so I'm comparing the Hoover bagless Cyclonic to the Dyson since many people may be wondering if they should go with an upright or a canister, or whether they should buy the high-tech Dyson or a tried-and-true Hoover. (I went through the same process.) from Amazon.com Our Hoover wind tunnel vacuum was beginning to show some wear after 6 years (power cord insulation broken) so we decided to spend a little more money and buy a Dyson DC14.
