at its maximum potential, the battery on this thing lasts 3 minutes, and it does not really work at all. i couldn't even get cat litter off of my bathroom floor / carpet. what's the point of a handheld if it can't be trusted to pick up the little things missed by the larger vacuums?! Don't waste your money on this when a dustpan does a better job!! from Target.com This is the first time a product has motivated me to write a review. I considered several vacuums before purchasing this one, but were deterred by poor reviews. In the end I bought the B&D 15.6V Cyclonic DustBuster because it was a brand name and it was on sale at Target at the time. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the performance and design. from Target.com Couldn't ask for a better hand vac; however, it uses a VF08 replacement filter. They haven't been available anywhere, including the Black and Decker site, since I got it for Christmas. I've searched and searched, but to no avail. from Target.com I have also been very impressed with the long-lasting battery life of this product. Others I have owned seem to have good suction the first few uses, then lose battery power and suction with consecutive uses. The Black & Decker DustBuster has proved to have a very long battery life and excellent suction. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for an excellent quality hand vac. from Target.com Years ago I had a DustBuster, it was clunky and not user friendly. This DustBuster is powerful (picks up threads from my carpet) and very easy to hold and operate. I don't know what happened, but I am now shopping for another hand vac. I chose it because the black and silver color matches my computer:) The suction is strong compared to older dustbusters I've used; I am very impressed. I like the extending wand built into the front. from Amazon.com Don't buy this! There's a better one to buy. We owned two Dustbuster CHV1400 14.4 volt for years.
