I rely heavily on Consumer Reports testing and they say to avoid Hoover vacuums because of the need for repairs. We bought one of their value recommends last time and hauled around a monster that dropped parts of itself and never did need to have the HEPA filter replaced, which left us suspicious about how much good it was really doing. from Amazon.com
