We heavily reviewed the DC17 and the DC24 Animal after we had a Kirby demo at our house. Not really willing to pay $ 2000 for that vacuum we decided to buy 'at least' a Dyson. from Amazon.com The other reviewers covered everything, this is the finest vacuum I have ever owned. Worth every penny, not to mention a 5 year warranty where Dyson will replace anything if it breaks. If you are looking for a good vacuum this is the one. from Amazon.com I already have a DC 17 Animal and purchased the DC 28 to use in other part of house and also as a back up in case a repair was needed at some time.
