To make Windows Explorer usable, I had to un-install this program .
It was one big waste of time.
For me, Norton-Symantec is trashing their brand reputation with this garbage.

As others have noted, this product prevents AOL from loading on my machine - it just stalls (AOL is using a connection via Cable).
It also "automatically" registers itself with Symantec and starts the counting of the 1 year subscription unless you cut of internet access.
I removed it from that machine (a Toshiba Laptop ) and installed it on my backup Dell (an older Pentium 3 866mhz).

I got an e-mail from Symantec offering Norton Confidential.
I am constantly getting phishing e-mails that look like eBay or PayPal, so I thought this would be good software to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I installed Norton Confidential on computer and it was a total disaster.
It slowed everything to a crawl, then caused error messages that I could not get rid of.

I lost the old Norton Password Manager when I upgraded Norton Systemworks.
I thought I would try Norton Confidential as an upgrade for the password manager.

In more than half the times it did not enter passwords. In cases where it entered passwords, it took about 5 seconds to do so.
It also asked me if I want to store passwords repeatedly for the same site.
It interfered with the operation.

I really don't know where is these people coming from saying the product do not work.
I installed the product in just a couple of minutes and let me tell you I was just amazed !!

I recently purchased this software and had to uninstall it. In my case, I was unable to get into my Quicken account, which is password protected.
One of the features of Confidential is an "Information Vault" which stores all passwords.
I was prompted to enter the Quicken one as well, but chose not to as I felt this would defeat the purpose of having a password set up in the first place.

i've tried this one but had to uninstall it. this is a purely unnecessary add-on to your computer .
if it only works for the most vulnerable internet explorer which continuous finding and feeding you the endless security patchups almost non-stop.
i really don't know what good this sounds-great but actually means-nothing software.
