Summary: I've used Laplink products since the 5 1/4" floppy days and always liked to do my own backup on my own schedule. The Gold series allows transfers between 2 hard drives mounted inside or outside of the machine, which is not true for the new Laplink PCsync series, which does not recognize a second internal drive.
