i mounted the hub under my monitor with velcro, making it very accessible.
even with 7 ports, the foot print of this product still enables me to tuck it just below and behind my monitor for easy access without crowding up my work space or it getting in my way.
when this works, it's fine, but it doesn't recognize several of my usb devices which work fine when i plug them into the aux usb port on my lcd monitor.

the connection cords are a bit short when connecting to a cinema flat panel and the hub raises off the desk a bit- but that's my fault for connecting it to the monitor instead of the macbook.

i downloaded a program to monitor the temperatures of my hard drive and cpu, and my nvidia graphics driver already has it's own gpu temp.
i use a program called everest to monitor the temperature of my latop and there is really no difference between the temperature with the chillpad on or the chillpad off.

the hub is behind my monitor where nothing moving touches it, yet i occasionally find that my printer is offline because the plug has slipped out of the hub.
my monitor doesn't really illuminate the keyboard from its position on the desk.
i bought this and just plug in my external monitor and i am good to go.
