I noticed that the images were taking forever to transfer. So, I tired it with my SD card...same deal. I called IOGear's tech support and they suggested that I try a different computer, which I did. Same result. from Mwave.com This unit is very nice looking but is put together very poorly! Both the Compact Flash and Secure Digital cards require two hands to insert/remove due to the mainboard being misaligned in the case. Also the USB 2.0 hub feature is blistering fast as advertised... from Tigerdirect.com Pros: 6 ports and memory card readers. Cons: Flimsy case. from Newegg.com Pros: Enough weight so desk "creep" is reduced. I use a patch of velco underneath to lock it in position. from Newegg.com I have an old Sandisk card reader which has been working great but just a little bit of slow because it's a USB 1.1. I came across this IOgear one with a reasonable price plus some extra USB ports. from Amazon.com I purchased the Iogear Hub for use with my Vista laptop to have some additional USB 2.0 ports and to easily get pictures off our Memory Stick and CompactFlash cards. while the unit works correctly on my wife's Windows XP laptop, it is not recognized on mine running Windows Vista. from Amazon.com Unfortunately, this nice looking package just doesn't pack the power punch needed. I have an Epson printer, a Saitek joystick, a gamepad and my dell monitor (with 2 usb ports) plugged into the back of the IOGEAR and several times throughout the day my computer will "bonk" and state USB device is not connected, only to redetect the device a few seconds later. First time out of the package I used it and it worked fine. from Amazon.com I've used the IOGear lightly since 7/2006 on my Mac mini running Tiger without any problem relating to it. (My Apple USB Modem hangs up when I mount a flash drive or a card, but that's an issue with the soft modem, I think.) As long as it keeps doing what it has been, my only two inconsequential caveats are that its extreme light weight precludes vertical use in the cheap rubber "stand," and that Secure Digital cards go in label down when using the thing horizontally. from Amazon.com The Iogear USB Hub and Card Reader is great for simplifying the mess of cords, cards, and clutter on one's desktop!
