Nicely designed, about as small as can be, a long needed solution to the problem of scarce FireWire ports, especially the 400s on newer equipment. Works fine. from Buy.com I consider the Belkin 6-port Firewire Hub essential for my new iMac. Apple has seen fit to reduce the number of Firewire 400 ports to one on the iMacs. from Buy.com I proudly admit to being one of those digital Luddites. If you're reading this review, you must be one too. I replaced an extremely troublesome ADS USA/Firewire combo unit with this Belkin Firewire hub and a separate USB hub. I like the compactness of this Belkin unit, which was one of the primary reasons for purchasing it over others. from Amazon.com Having only 1 firewire port on my macbook, and 2 firewire devices, I REALLY NEEDED a firewire hub. Bought this Belkin 6 port firewire hub - it never worked from the very beginning.
