It snaps onto the front of your PS3 (but not the newer Slim model, I'm sure) and looks like it belongs there, adding two USB ports (not three, since it replaces one) that work good. I had used other USB hubs to try to play Rock Band with a full band, and sometimes the hub would work and sometimes it would drop out in the middle of a song. from Amazon.com This product does NOT work for PS3 slim.
