Be warned, this is not a USB 2.0 hub. USB 2.0 is over half a decade old, there is no reason for this to even exist. from Amazon.com Pros: Excellent piece of equipment. Makes navigating and working in CG software so much easier. from Newegg.com Other Thoughts: I did not carefully read the shell shocker ad, just went for it. My mistake. I get a system warning each time I insert a USB drive or device to this unit, reminding me that the USB port where the Belkin is plugged can take a bigger challenge (i.e. 2.0). from Newegg.com Pros: Had a very nice price. fast shipping Cons: The hub will not work with a usb wirless B adapter pluged in or not Other Thoughts: I bought this for a customer of mine trying to setup wireless on an older laptop. from Newegg.com Pros: Have had this hub for several years and 3 computer builds later is still going strong. Cons: Ridiculously difficult to set up: if you don't the item up in precisely the right order Windows XP won't be able to install it properly, and it does not come with instructions. Other Thoughts: This is my mistake: rather than follow the manufacturer's link that Newegg provides I assumed (yeah, I know) that the item was USB 2.0 compatible based on a reviewer's comment. It was a gift for a friend so I didn't discover the error of my ways until it was too late to return it for a refund. from Newegg.com Pros: It works perfectly. Had it for almost 4 years. Cons: The Usb Connections are in the back.
