Prosit is a nice 4 port high speed usb hub i never hd a problem . i have used them for about 8 years this is the second hub i have ordered from dell Consnone Additional Thoughtsnone
D-Link DUB-H4 High Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub The D-Link four-port high speed USB hub arrived right on time.
Pros: none Cons: i ordered one of each, the 4 and 7-port d-link hubs. the 4-port hub is totally unreliable.
This hub needs its own 5VDC power adapter supplied to run the firmware on board. It is 100% compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 and needs no software. What a wonderful device!
This was my 3rd purchase of the D-Link DUB-H4 4-port hub. The first two are attached to my home computer with 7 of the 8 ports in use, connecting external hard drives (3), DVD burner, and other assorted USB devices.
This device has realy helped. I have a slightly older Dell desk top computer that works great but has a 1.1 USB port in the front and 4 2.0 USB ports in the rear. Makes it a little difficult to get to when using a newer memory stick.
I take away a half-star only because of the plug .. its a little big and will not be able to use the outlet immediately next to the one taken by this one's plug. But remember, on this as well as ANY multiport hub (that I know of) if you mix USB 1.0 or 1.1, all the ports will operate at the slowest device speed, not the 2.0 speed the unit is capable of delivering.
The D-Link DUB-H4 High Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub does everything I could ask for, in a nice, neat package. Set up a snap and the price is perfect for people that don't want to break the bank when they only have a couple of available USB ports on their computer.
Pros: Works great, USB 2.0 and all plug-and-play devices work. Cons: None Other Thoughts: Currently have a printer, external hard drive, wireless keyboard/mouse, and scanner connected with it.
Pros: Works as advertised. 4 extra ports, USB 2.0 I have noticed people posting that this product dose not work. I have two of them and they both work perfectly and I have never had a problem with the ports disconecting.
