it's *much* better than the belkin in every way but one: the belkin can tell the computer to hibernate in case of outage, while the cyberpower can only tell it to shutdown.

i've had a lower rated cyberpower unit for several years running its powerpanel software, and during outages it has always saved files and put the pc in hibernation.

my biggest complaints with this ups are the weak software that cyberpower provides, as well as the unchangeable sleep mode that the lcd display goes into.

keeps my station running on small outages and blips, send it into hibernate (and saves any and all rendering info and data in memory) and once power is back, starts back up right where it left off.

if you set it to perform a shutdown, it decides for you that you will use hibernation and it creates a hiberfile even if you've previously disabled it.

in other similar units i have used, i simply do a plug-n-play and tell windows xp to hibernate when the battery turns on.
