i love this product - it is a pleasure to use, functions beautifully, and is beautifully designed.
<= read as "idiot proof." it's hard to mess up when the machine makes all the decisions (for those of you who are chefs, this will let you override the idiot-proof features without a hassle).
not only are they known for producing a high-quality product, but i've always appreciated the effort that they put forth into making an item using quality design elements as well.
this is my first breville product and i was bowled over by the quality, design, and effectiveness of this oven.
the instrumentation is very usable (see video) and i found the product to be exceptionally well designed with features like included non-stick pans and a magnetized door that pulls the baking tray
this one in fact is my second one - i also have the larger 1285 va version for my main system components (including a 42" lcd).
the cool feature is that it tells you how much time you have left on the charge depending on what you have plugged in.
at least with apc, you can figure it out easily.
but fedora detected it immediately from the usb connection...minimal configuration on my end.
look at features like phone and cable connections more than how many watts the thing will handle or lcd panels.
i have owned this ups for a few years now and it is still running in top shape.
i like apc products and the added lcd screen is a nice feature.
all have met expectations and performed as designed...
well designed.
with all components running less than half of the battery's resources are being consumed!
the ups is plugged into my mac via usb and, based on my settings in system preferences, the ups shut down my computer when 5 minutes remained or the battery had 15% life remaining, whichever came
we could not get it to work with the buffalo linkstation pro usb shutdown feature - but they may be an issue with buffalo.
the only one under $150 with the features i wanted was the cyber systems cp1350avrlcd.
other thoughts: i got this on sale and really like it..if you buy this one and know the features you won't be disappointed..that is unless they ship it in it's own box, and up* beats the snot out of
i use a little under 300 watts continuous and i figure it is much better to have a ups too big so that it won't have a hard time powering the system and of course it will last longer in case you
just purchased this to replace our old one from 1995 and so far it has been great.led is a nice feature.
best feature formoney
this ups is packed with very useful features.
i was having trouble with several of my programs and couldn't figure out why.
you can actualy measure and see how many watts each of your component consume.
don't get me wrong, i built my system with components from newegg and think they rock but with the weight of this thing and shipping you do the math.
a lot of features and the lcd readout is very informative.
i purchased the power supply so i can use the advanced performance settings for the harddisks in vista.
cons: heavy, long body, outlets on back means smaller space to organize plugs; large plugs will need some arrangement/extensions other thoughts: if you have to get this much power, this ups is
the lcd and computer program give you the details to know exactly how long you can be protected and the status of the battery.
the lcd is very useful, and the upright configuration is a space saver.
software has a most useful feature.
it was easy to set up and by connecting the usb cable from this unit to my computer i'm given detailed information.
the cyberpower ups is very smooth working and has some very nice features such as auto shutdown when you designate it to do so.
got it for a steal at amazon (40 bucks!) so i figured my wife would like one for her pc while she works from home.
i wasn't able to use the auto backup feature as i didn't have a free usb slot, but even without that it gives you sufficient time to close down and save your work.
i would like to see a company be proactive (since this is not a new comment/recomendation)and if they can't retool the design, then at least include one of those 4 inch extention cords that allow you
this b/u pack saved my computer from numerous power failures and with the usb cable attached, i have my computer settings to automatically shut down the computer after a minute on battery power.
anyway, i can comment on the design of these new units, which, remarkably, isn't much improved over the original models:
one suggestion, it is not designed to handle a large laser printer.
macs recognize this unit immediately when plugged in via usb and have built-in settings for ups in the energy-saver preferences box.
product attributes: value:
not impressed about the battery back up feature, slight humming noise.
this is the best protection you can buy for the money and it looks great with my other components.
installation was a snap.this unit is sturdy and fits well with all my other components.
we often have power failures and brown-outs, and several times this had resulted in the receiver losing all of its settings which was a real pain to recalibrate.
instantaneous switching if line power is lost, protecting our tv and other sensitive components.
this unit had the best combination of features i was looking for to protect my 58" panasonic plasma.
summary: this unit had the best combination of features i was looking for to protect my 58" panasonic plasma.
powers 1 file server, 4 network components, and a poe injected wifi bridge.
pros: professional features, like dual server control and load/battery level indicators.
it can be overloaded but then again, it works within its design parameters perfectly.
webcard is way overpriced for not having any advanced features other thoughts: would purchase another
other thoughts: at writing, have had one of these mounted on a wall, 20 feet off the floor of a plastics factory for about 2 years, powering some small network hardware.
pros: low cost cons: for those who have a backup generator this ups does not have any kind of sensitivity setting at all.
it had two great bonus features, a cigarette lighter adapter so it can be used in your car (thought its only use was for the airplane) and a nifty compact carry bag for all the parts.
i figured this would be a worst case scenario for me when working in the field.
the design of this inverter has marginal cooling of the internal components with a tiny 3/4" fan.
