one more mistake made was leaving telephone line plugged into back of pc tower.

for this price, it does exactly what i need - place windows into a safe mode and prevent file corruption whenever the power goes out.

this ups is very reliable i purchase 3 of this units in last year.
pros: good specs and i have 2 other cyberpower ups units running very reliably for over a year.

these unit have been absolutely reliable.
lets me buy a ups not made by @pc and not feel like i'm skimping on quality.
unless there is a pc nearby, forget about monitoring this ups.
and if you just want to record tv and don't want the expense or complexity of a media center edition pc, a tivo is the way to go.
so the question isn't how good was the series2 dt -- it's really no better than any other tivo on the market right now, this isn't like a tossup between a series2 and a series3 or media center pc.
i bought this as an under monitor solution to keep my pc working through bad power.
