i installed it last night.
very good psu for the price thumbs up
great price, did smell a little weird when i got it out of the box but hey who cares.
i don't think these are the best power supplies you can buy, but for the money, they are worth it.
very easy to install.
this product is just as good as more expensive units, and i recommend purchasing it.
the led display only lights up momentarily when you press a button, but when normal power fails, it does come on and stay on so that you can monitor the remaining time left on the battery.
we plugged it in and charged for 24 hours and have been using it since.
just remember to charge it overnight prior to using.
for a battery back-up, these sure are nice to look at!
it works great, battery run-time is nice.
apc has an eco friendly (and reasonably priced) battery exchange program should you need to replace it.
we experience blackouts quite frequently and this battery has kept our computer running like it's suppose to.
suggestion for new buyers: get a larger battery back-up than required.
this new model is replacing a 1400 back-ups pro, turns out it was close to the same price to upgrade or replace the battery.
set up was easy...it is also a lighter weight than the apc product it replaced.
this is a very good well made product and i would recommend it to anyone needing power backup for their personal computer system.
it has worked very well with my mixed mac and pc system.
i would recommend this product to anyone looking for a battery backup.
well, i haven't had the opportunity to "use" it yet but it seems to be great for hooking my pc, scanner, printer, etc.
overall i like the product but it may be over priced.
it is solidly built and i would not hesitate to recommend this product.
it was a fairly heavy duty product that i had used for many years.
i really appreciate the fact that the timer can be set up to 2 hours (some toaster ovens can be set for only 30 minutes) and that at the end of the timed cycle, it automatically shuts off.
all in all, though, i have found this to be a reliable product and one that i really enjoy using.
i took it out of the box, hooked up the batteries, set the parameters (without a laptop pc), then walked off and left it.
it has totally taken care of my back-up battery.
best product in the market especially at the special price right now.
oneweek after i received the battery backup, i encountered a 1hour power outage at my home and this battery backup kept my voip, cable modem, and internal network up and running during the entire time
very easy to set up.
and all the surge-protected outlets it provides have helped me clean up some of the "rat's nest" behind my computer (half of these are supported by the battery; half are not).
i have it supporting mainly a 2001 dell pc with windows xp home and have never had any problems in 2 years of ownership, but it has saved my pc many times from abnormal shutdowns.
i use it for my pc and cable modem.
got it for a steal at amazon (40 bucks!) so i figured my wife would like one for her pc while she works from home.
no need to read manual during setup, put the battery in then connect the plugs you are up and running.
yes the additional capability to use hooked up to a pc is
the software only projects 13 minutes on battery with 200w load, but i haven't tested it to see if it will last longer.
it shows how much running time remains while on battery and it shows information on the power being supplied to the unit.
while relatively expensive, it cost less than replacement batteries on my old ups.
was easy to install and fire up.
can i power more devices from this ups), it also has one other significant advantage: as an apc product, you will be able to buy replacement batteries for it for several years.
without power it usually lasts 25 minutes on battery power.
system shows 27 minutes of batterybackup advailiable.
also shows consumption, battery time, load...
6 battery-backup outlets, 2 only surge-protected with no battery backup.
i purchased and installed this ups less than one month ago and it has already saved me.
the overload and replace battery indicator lights are also a big plus.
i've always relied on apc since uninterruptible power supplies first became affordable for single desktops and servers.
i'm just looking for a good, basic battery back-up that can clean the power if needed.
the key feature of these apcs for me is the auto-shut down signal to my pc (or readynas) on low battery.
it is able to keep my amd athlon 64 computer & lcd monitor going for over 12 minutes at full charge.
battery protection is very unreliable.
i experience the same problem with all the units i have installed for own use and company use.
a regular, plain jane power strip ended up being more reliable than this worthless product.
i used to trust only tripplite products and buy only tripllite product.
set up and installation took about 2 minutes and it's operating quietly and effectively.
not impressed about the battery back up feature, slight humming noise.
very simple to setup, just plug it into the wall and check after a few hours to make sure it's charged.
one of two minor complaints is that it does have a barely noticeable humming sound during normal operation which is much more pronounced when running on battery power.
tried plugging and un-pluggling the unit with all my equipment on and it held power for the 5 minutes i let it run on batteries.
i hooked it up to two 100 amp hour deep cycle batteries.
i could not be happier with it - fast switching, charges the battery fast after the outage too.
i bought a marine battery at walmart for under $70 and connected it to the unit.
i''m still looking for some agm batteries to go with it - they''re expensive!
this power verter came fast tiger shipping.i have many!!tripplie products all are great!!best on the market i found.been into computers 30+ years now.rember to connect 12v battery first before powe
it costs me $125 including tax and shipping.
i installed this apc unit before i powered on the third tivo box and everything has been fine for over a year now.
i found the apc h10 at b&h photo www.b&hphotovideo.com for an unbeatable price of $199 (retail is $349 and on here its currently $279) as of june 21 2007...shipping was $20 or so....
same offer appears at tiger direct but the price is only $149.00.
i tried an expensive new surge protector but this did not prevent the problem.
the product performed as expected, was delivered to my door ahead of the promised schedule and i highly recommend this to anyone needing a battery backup for electonics and other devices.!
i just wanted it as a reliable ups.
macs recognize this unit immediately when plugged in via usb and have built-in settings for ups in the energy-saver preferences box.
for the price , i also bought another one for my wife's parents.
neither tripp-lite''s nor pcnation''s product description mentioned that poweralert software will not work with a mac.
breaker for each set of four outlets.i would definitely buy this unit again, and recommend it if you are looking for a heavy duty ups to keep you up and running through moderate power outages.
i already have a cyberpower 1500avr unit to which i had both my mac and pc connected to.
pros vertical or horizontal mount, ability to keep ups in silent mode until battery reaches 5% remaining power, very informative display.
the fan came on one time when the power fluctuated enough to kick it onto battery.
i would have like to see the same arrangement of a circuit breaker for every two outlets like the old one has, but it does have a separate breaker for each set of four outlets.i would definitely buy
has the microwave oven and the electric hot water heater on the same circuit (our one and only circuit) and every time they are on simultaneously, the circuit breaker blows, which knocks out our pcs.
i figured the bx900 would be the same, as far as i could tell.i learned the case is more wide, it had a larger and more common battery.the thing i don't like, there is a 2-speed fan located inside
my pc is ten times noiser than this ups fan so no problem for me.
when (power out) is turned off the fan still runs to keep the charger cool, i guess.
to read this and other information just plug in the supplied cable with one end data port and the other usb and then install the software.
so far, we haven't had a mishap but one of my neighbors lost three tvs and a microwave due to a lightning strike.the device was simple to install and compared to electronic stores, it was a bargain.
this devise does it all for me and it was very easy to set up.
i bought of one theses for my pc that a freind told me about and ever since ive used this ive never had any problreams since then but feel more protected in this product then the either guys
for the cost of the ups it's cheap insurance for the tv.
this is a great ups for one pc and a monitor
should make this of a more durable product.
this looks nice and is easily cleaned.....
I accidently dropped a salt shaker on the edge of the cooktop and the entire cooktop cracked as soon as a turned on the burners.
Love my new cooktop.
i did a quick battery test and everything worked as expected.
I had this item for couple weeks now and yesderday we had power down for 7 min.
I have only had this unit a short time and it has behaved as specified during three or more power failures.
I live in a rural area on the top of a mountain.
The UPS was easy to unpack and setup.
