set up and installation took about 2 minutes and it's operating quietly and effectively. from Amazon.com not impressed about the battery back up feature, slight humming noise. from Amazon.com very simple to setup, just plug it into the wall and check after a few hours to make sure it's charged. from Amazon.com one of two minor complaints is that it does have a barely noticeable humming sound during normal operation which is much more pronounced when running on battery power. from Amazon.com tried plugging and un-pluggling the unit with all my equipment on and it held power for the 5 minutes i let it run on batteries. from Amazon.com would have been nice if it had an ethernet port but for the price it cant be beat. from Amazon.com this is the best protection you can buy for the money and it looks great with my other components. from Amazon.com all in all, it is a very nice unit at a good price. from Amazon.com though it is very heavy so make sure it's on a sturdy shelf! from Amazon.com - the end of the power cord should be flat, and not the typical pc cord. from Amazon.com
