APC simply makes the best UPS systems around. This systems gives plenty of back up time and great protection against the 'noisy' electrical lines we have around here. from Circuitcity.com has the microwave oven and the electric hot water heater on the same circuit (our one and only circuit) and every time they are on simultaneously, the circuit breaker blows, which knocks out our pcs. from Circuitcity.com i figured the bx900 would be the same, as far as i could tell.i learned the case is more wide, it had a larger and more common battery.the thing i don't like, there is a 2-speed fan located inside from Circuitcity.com my pc is ten times noiser than this ups fan so no problem for me. from Circuitcity.com when (power out) is turned off the fan still runs to keep the charger cool, i guess. from Circuitcity.com to read this and other information just plug in the supplied cable with one end data port and the other usb and then install the software. from Circuitcity.com the bottom line is that they were well documented, easy to install, and they perform exactly as advertised. from Circuitcity.com i work at a small start-up company that has the microwave oven and the electric hot water heater on the same circuit (our one and only circuit) and every time they are on simultaneously, the circuit from Circuitcity.com i have a pc,printer,monitor,ethernet box,usb hub an amp,external hard drive,sound amp,,telephone,viva another 8 way ...and this unit has been running three years and doin great from Circuitcity.com APC simply makes the best UPS systems around.
