Best Turntables for Amplifier

the pre amp feature makes it very easy to hook-up this turntable to your computer, amplifier or receiver that do not have phono magnetic input jacks.

this is a very nice feature as it allows you to plug it directly into a computer line input or an amplifier/receiver that does not have a preamp input.

for example, a built in amplifier so it can be connected to receivers with phono inputs or as a line in.

i particularly like that it has a setting that does not need a phono input on my amplifier - i could (but don't) feed it directly into my pc.

after changing my receiver/amplifier i can't play my old lp records.

this is a simple device that allows you to play your old vinyl albums on a receiver that doesn't have a pre-amplifier or a phono function.

it needs an amplifier to really get the same sound volume that a cd player cn give you.

nice that the built in amplifier can be turned off or on in case you want to plug it into a stereo system with its own pre-amp.

it is only about 24 inches long, which wasn't enough to reach across the back of my stereo cabinet and connect to the phono inputs on my amplifier.

but, the connections to the amplifier are permanently connected to the turntable end, and as such are not replaceable.

after previously battling with a standard turntable and separate amplifier, using the at-lp2d is as easy as 1 2 ...well, you get the idea.

this way, you can connect it to most devices, whether they have an amplifier or not.

the instructions should be amended to suggest use of a preamp or amplifier between the at-lp2d and a pc.

also works with regular amplifier for normal use.

the rca output is not amplified so you need to connect it to an amplifier if you really want to listen, other thing that i haven't found how to do is to listen to the lp's thru the computer without

one reviewer mentioned that the ion had to be plugged into a regular stereo amplifier and computer.

if you already have a hi-fi turntable and an amplifier or receiver, you can probably figure out a less expensive way to record your vinyl and/or tapes to cd without buying this item.

so they barely reach to where i have my receiver/amplifier to plug them in.
