first of all, i use this with a canon powershot s3is which is a rather heavy digital camera, so it you've got a light and compact camera, you might not have the problem i'm having.

read someone's review that said it would tip over because it wasn't balanced or whatever, but that is not the case with a very compact camera (4 oz.) the camera doesn't cause it to drop of anything.
