the only minor complaint (and it was dealt with) is that my large slr camera was too heavy for the joints and they couldn't support it.

plus it's heavy duty enough to hold my sony h2 camera while wraped around the handelbar, or hanging off of a chain link fence.

this funky-looking little tripod works well for small devices, but don't even try to use it for anything bigger than a heavy cell phone.

i have an ancient straight mini-tripod in my camera bag, but i rarely use it and its a little heavy - this one is light and can achieve stability on uneven surfaces with no problem.
