wonderful tripod, but the quick release head on it really sucks.
the included head is of decent quality and though i use my slik pistol grip for the most part, it makes horizontal and vertical work simpler and has an easier mount.
whats also nice is you can change the head on such a cheap tripod so you can go with a ball head or something else.

my only negative point is that the tripod head/mount is a little plasticy, but for the price, i can't really complain a lot about it.
of course, if you're planning to use a camcorder and expect a hydraulic head for fluid pans, this is not the right product for you.
using quick release pan head, it is easy to switch between camera and camcorder.
the 3 way pan head is also a very essential feature of this tripod.
although it doesn't have wheels, i can move the head around in any direction and make it stiff easily.
the only thing that i have found is that fine tuning the head position takes a little getting used to, it tends to stick when making small adjustements and suddenly gives really fast causing it to
not great for camcorder panning though, as the head is not even remotely like a fluid head.
the head is not quite as steady, with a small amount of wiggle even if you lock everything down.
